Conor completed his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Lincoln in 2021, followed by a Master's in Microbiology in 2022, also at the University of Lincoln. During this time, he studied the properties of viral DNA and the kinetics of DNA expression. After completing his studies, Conor worked for the BBSRC, researching the applications of LAMP and gold nanoparticles for bacterial detection. He is now a PhD student in the Jones group, researching techniques for viral detection that do not require amplification.
